Where We Stand
Why can four cancers be made presumptive for the Department of Justice to administer as they were last July while the VA which is also part of the same executive branch of the same government refuses to do the same? Why blanket compensation and health care for sick nuclear weapons plant workers and not for those who participated directly in testing those weapons? We found but had no room for comment on another article about the surplus, Congress feasts on the Budget Surplus.
"Instead of dealing with health care, social security, prescription drugs and campaign finance reform, huge amounts are being "dumped" into projects mostly beneficial to special interests."So what else is new. We are also being shafted royally when it comes to receiving our fair share of compensation for radiation caused illnesses. [The Boston Sunday Globe, October 15, 2000, p.A23] We also regret to say that we lost O.T. Weeks too soon a week or so ago. (See page 4)
