Security Managers that are using ONLY the standard health related protocols are naive to believe that they are secure. This is an active biological threat whereas the International Security Industry Organization [ISIO] suggests that security protocols must also be considered.

The collateral damage of cv-19 will furthermore produce other threats whereas the SM will be dealing with multiple threats such as new crime related to economic meltdown that will erode the company profits.

Consequently, this is not a one size fits all kind-of-thing. Security Protocols must be stringently followed when purchasing or using technology, equipment, and the layering of manpower by their skillsets. The reasons for such consider the mood and character traits of the population which will be, abnormal to the extreme of an increase in mentally unwell people besides, erratic behaviour of the masses. This is not purely related to customers that would visit a site but also internally amongst the staff. Desperate people will do desperate things.

The major issue is that the Security Managers could be undermined by the Human Resource manager that could use the full budget solely on health-related protocols. The Financial managers must know that the security managers must secure profit protection besides loss prevention. When the doors of the business shut – there are no profits.

Subsequently, the Security Manager must be confident in their presentation to the Human Resource Manager and Financial officer to earn the trust and respect to seriously allocate to the security department the necessary tools to limit collateral damage. The Security Manager would not feel intimidated to present their position because of lack of knowledge, whereas, there are bodies that can provide the easiest and most effective method to comprehend their own loopholes and suggest cost effective methods. Not knowing the protocols in the purchasing and utilization of the technology, equipment or manpower will cost the company dearly.

DICE and Tristar help central station affected by storm | #TpromoCom #DICE #Tristar #Monitoring #Security | DICE Corporation and Tristar Monitoring stepped in to help a central station that was without power and battling flooding due to Tropical Storm Isaias (Security Systems News).

“We got a call from DICE asking if we were willing to assist,” said Tim LeBlanc, president and co-founder of Tristar Monitoring. “My immediate response was, ‘Absolutely.’”

Tristar had been in the same position before, aiding a central station in Florida for two months, while the company returned to full operations. The process of transferring the signals to Tristar was a seamless process that was made easier with both central stations being DICE customers and on the Matrix platform. The IT teams from the three companies got together and Tristar was receiving full operations including all signals and phone calls in only 45 minutes.

The Security Industry Association (SIA) has announced the 2020 winners of the SIA New Product Showcase Awards, the flagship awards program in partnership with ISC West recognizing innovative security products, services and solutions. Top among the winners – who were recognized July 9 during a virtual awards show – was Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, receiving the 2020 Best New Product Award.

Since its inception in 1979, the SIA New Product Showcase has been the security industry’s premier product awards program. New products are reviewed by a panel of judges with extensive industry experience, and in 2020, following significant deliberations, the 30 judges presented awards for technologies covering 23 product and service categories.

Per capita solar leaders are Honolulu, San Diego, Albuquerque, San Jose and Burlington, Vermont.

Twenty-six U.S. cities have at least 50 watts of PV per capita—and they’re not all in the sunniest states.

Honolulu is in a league of its own, with 841 watts of PV per capita, as a study from the nonprofit Environment Texas reports. San Diego, with 295 watts per capita, leads the rest of the pack.
