Is it not natural that we, as believers of Jesus Christ and members of The Way, should at first fear him who rules the physical world? After all, we, the ego, have only one physical life to live. However, our existence certainly does not end with the ceasing of our bodies. In fact, there are recorded instances of people who have been absent from the body, in spirit.
For those who have never consciously experienced this phenomena, there is a tendency to be critical and disbelieving of those who have. In the words of one, sincere minister of the Lord who I once talked to about this subject:
"Why would God give you such a spiritual experience and not I, a man of God?" he asked.
There is plenty of evidence to the contrary. The evidence I will cite, however, comes by way of an apostle of Jesus Christ. Let us turn our attention to the apostle, Saint Paul to find out what he had to say about this:
There is a man I know who was carried out of himself in Christ, fourteen years since; was his spirit in his body? I cannot tell. Was it apart from his body? I cannot tell; God knows. This man, at least, was carried up into the third heaven. I can only tell you that this man, with his spirit in his body, or with his spirit apart from his body, God knows which, not I, was carried up into Paradise, and heard mysteries which man is not allowed to utter. That is the man about whom I will boast; I will not boast about myself, except to tell you of my humiliations. It would not be vanity, if I had a mind to boast about such a man as that; I should only be telling the truth.II Corinthians 12:1-6
Whether we have proof of life outside the body or not, it's more important that we have faith in what Jesus told us when He walked the earth and what the Holy Spirit tells us now. We have more to fear from God than he who rules the air. I submit the following proof:
"There is no need to fear those who kill the body, but have no means of killing the soul; fear him more, who has the power to ruin body and soul in hell."Saint Matthew 10:28
Let's take a closer look at what Jesus Christ said in this passage:
"Do not be afraid of men, then. Whatever is covered up will be uncovered, and every secret will be made known. What I am telling you in the dark you must repeat in broad daylight, and what you have heard in private you must tell from the housetops. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather be afraid of God, who can destroy both body and soul in hell. You can buy two sparrows for a penny; yet not a single one of them falls to the ground without your Father's consent. As for you, even the hairs of your head have all been counted. So do not be afraid: you are worth much more than sparrows!" (Saint Matthew 10:26-31)
I can recall several decades ago when non-Christians laughed at the idea that the hairs are numbered on our heads; but is it not true that when we were formed, everything about us was essentially stored in our genetic code? Our Creator made every aspect of our bodies, right down to each, individual hair. Today, He knows you and I so well that He knows what we're going to say before we even say it. So, who truly knows us better than He, the Lord of all, no matter what religious faith we happen to be?
All right, so what do we do when the enemy comes for us in our homes? Do we bow down to the ruler of this earth and worship him instead of our Creator, God? Whom do we have to fear the most? The ruler of this earth can only take our lives, he cannot take our souls, unless we give them to him. If we bow down to him, the ruler of this earth, then we have, in essance, given him our souls. Therefore, when Jesus Christ returns to remove His Church, if we have bowed down to the evil one(s) of earth, we will no longer be counted among those who belong to Jesus Christ's Church.
You and I need to decide now on which side that we stand. There are difficult decisions ahead that will determine our final, eternal residence. Will you side with the ruler of the air, the rulers of this earth, by taking the mark of the beast? Or, will you do the selfish thing and side with our Lord, Jesus? Will you take the contactless chip, which is the size of a grain of rice, or will you say no? This chip is directly oriented to the financial system of this world through high-tech gadgetry. Will you take it or will you willingly divorce yourself from it?
We need to think about the implications of both actions in regards to our long-term, eternal survival. I believe there is only one logical answer, and that is NOT to take the mark. In many cases this will mean our physical deaths. However, who ever told us that we would live on planet earth forever? Let's get to the bottom line here. Die now or die later, death is inevitable. However, it's what comes after our physical deaths that we need to consider before all else. An eternity is a long time to spend in one place. Where and how do you want to spend it? This is the ultimate question.
