My Confession

I'd like to make a confession here, on line. There was a day, believe it or not, when I contemplated adding my voice and my talents to those in the U.S.S.R. There was a day in the far past when I thought socialism was the best form of government, that Democracy, whether a Limited Monarchy or Republic, was not. There was also a day when I thought that the environment would be better off without mankind to mess it up. Does this sound like the Al you know, from reading my past editorials and the many, many articles that I've penned herein? Of course not.

The fact is, I understand how environmentalists think to some degree, how misguided Americans think who believe that socialism is the best way to go. Although I admit that there are problems inherent in our own form of government, I also know now that it's the best thing going. If it were not, why on earth would so many folks from around the world work hard to come here and live?

As a Christian, I am acutely aware of what the future holds, as outlined by St. Paul in the book of Apocalypse, or Revelation, as it is also known. I've prayed to the Father and asked Him if it is correct for me to work against the inevitable. The answer that I received in reply was, "Yes. You must fight evil wherever you find it." Hence, my current on-line efforts here on The Giant Killers web site.

Oddly enough, and I hope you have already come to this conclusion, it is not socialism itself that is flawed. In a perfect world this form of government might work absolutely fine. But, in practice, especially under the banner Communism, it's not what it's suppose to be. Does this mean that all peoples that advocate socialism or communism are bad? No, I do not believe so. However, when leadership is placed in the hands of those who would use it to gain total control over their people, it's a terrible thing.

Here in America, our Founding Fathers put into place a form of government that, by nature, makes it difficult for the powers that be to exploit their people. It's happened, and when it has, this same form of government provides a means of voting them out of office. However, when those in office become beholding or aligned with those who rule behind the scenes, who are not elected by the people, then there is very little that the common man can do, other than vote the current politicians out of office and hope that the next crew can run things in an upright manner. This is especially true when the unelected rulers own the money that you and I use on a daily basis.

Well, some of my close friends, some of which are apathetic about these issues (probably because they think they own a piece of the system), have asked me why I do what I do? Why do you spend so much of your personal time researching and writing these things, they've asked. I'd like to share the answer to that.

If anyone witnesses something wrong that, if allowed to continue, could harm any one of their fellow-man, they are guilty of a grave sin that could cost them their very life. After all, what adversely effects one, two, or more of us could, in the end, effect us all. So, how can I remain silent when I see a problem of this magnitude?

In defense of my position on this, I submit a passage
from the Old Testament Bible: Ezekiel 33: 1-6.

1 Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:
3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning: if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

So, in closing, I ask you: how can I remain silent when I see and sense the invisible forces at work in our society and others across the globe? How can you, a fellow human being, sit idly by and allow such integration and centralization of power to take place, not only here in the United States, but world wide, without standing up and speaking out?

If you choose to do the right thing and add your voice to mine and all the others, then you will be as the watchman sounding the trumpet. The blood of those who fail to listen will be on their own heads, not yours or mine.

We cannot sit by any longer without sounding the alarm, no matter whether we feel alone and vulnerable or not. The fact is, you are not alone. Together, we represent a significant majority that the invisible, behind-the-scene powers fear. Public exposure means adverse public opinion, which they are intensely afraid of. So do the right thing: STAND UP and SPEAK OUT.
