USS Cole:
Poor Security, Conspiracy?

WASHINGTON -- An agent with the Defense Intelligence Agency quit his job the day after the bombing of the Navy destroyer USS Cole because he believed his analysis of Middle East terrorism could have helped predict the attack but that authorities rebuffed him, a Republican senator has charged.
United Press International, Oct. 26

In the 17 October Daily Commentary, entitled The Explosion Aboard The USS Cole (click here to read it), it was suggested that security was lacking aboard the USS Cole the day of the bombing.

In this report, a Washington source stated that security was lax and there were many glaring irregularities. Also included in that report are comments/opinions from one alleged former insider and another individual, Dot Bibee, who was once part of the military establishment. Evidently these information/opinion sources are not the only ones to take this position.

Our alleged former insider, for example, stated:

"In looking at this situation, I'm about 90% sure that this was but one more carefully orchestrated, violent incident by various elements in the U.S. Govt., the British Govt., CFR and Trilateral members, and various elements of the Bildebergers and Illumnati Families. It reeks of the hand of the NWO, or Satan if you will, in complete and total control behind the scene, as usual." To view this source's full comments, click HERE

Our ex-military source, Dot Bibee, had this to say, in part:

"The news is beginning to show that there is DOUBT that the explosion did not happen the way that it is being reported. Could there have been an aircraft (not visible at the port) that could have put the hole with a smart bomb?" To view Dot's full comments, click HERE.

Dot was correct, and as it turns out, our former insider may also be right. As time marches on, more and more of the details are coming to light. As this occurs, it's becoming painfully clear that there was more to the USS Cole bombing story than a simple tug that managed to infiltrate a group of authorized boats that were working with the U.S. Navy near the destroyer. Of course, Congress is now busy trying to get to the bottom of the situation (damage control?), as you'd expect politicians to do.

The following illustrates the degree of distrust now filtering into the news media. What it essentially says is that something irregular took place in the USS Cole's security measures. In fact, it calls into question the very issue brought up on the 17th concerning an "insider" element. Please read it for yourself:

The Washington Post (10/21, A1, Suro, Sipress) reported the Navy on Friday "gave a new account of the terrorist attack on the USS Cole, saying the destroyer had already moored and was refueling when it was approached by a small boat laden with explosives in Yemen eight days ago."

The revised account "casts doubt on previous assertions by top Navy commanders that the bombing was virtually unpreventable because the small boat blended in with harbor workboats helping the US warship tie up to a fueling station in the port of Aden."

The Navy now says "the apparent suicide attack took place more than 90 minutes after mooring had been completed. At that point, as the ship was already refueling, there was no reason for a small boat to approach the Cole. Sailors with guns had been posted on deck." The new account "also raises questions about the extent to which the attack was an 'inside operation.'"

If you will recall, our Washington source, let's call him Popeye, stated that Naval authorities should have also known better than to allow any boat not under its direct control, or one where a thorough inspection was NOT performed, to come within 100 yards of the vessel. This was clearly a mistake that resulted in the needless loss of 17 U.S. sailors and the injury of others.

Since our last Commentary on this issue, here is what Popeye had to say about the situation as it has unfolded before us:

"First, the media exonerated the Capt. of the USS Cole far too quickly. That is not what happens in the Navy. The Capt. is totally responsible for his ship whether he is on the bridge or not. This is the way the Navy works. There must be a Board of Inquiry to exonerate him.

"I have not heard whether one has been held and I have never seen this in my entire military career. The Capt. can only be exonerated by a Board of Inquiry. This tells me that this is coming from the top.

"Also, the U.S. Navy should never say that they are not responsible for security [in a foreign port]. Security is not the entire responsibility of a host nation."

Folks, I'm here to tell you that if the public knew half of the "private arrangements" and "invisible money" that passes between government officials and various other concerns, if you and I knew just how corrupt the government has become, I think that they'd have to put us all away because we'd be in shock for the remainder of our lives.

To those who participate in such things--for those who know things but are relunctant to come forward and tell others, for whatever reason:

SHAME ON YOU!! How can you live with yourself? How can you go day to day knowing that you are party to such high level corruption without doing something positive about it?

One last thought for the remaining who are honest and forthwith: Fear not those folks who can take your life. But certainly fear Him, The Most High, who has it within His power to end both your physical and spiritual existence. I fear no man, not that I'm not fearful; but I would rather be able to look at myself in the mirror every morning without embarassment than to collect all the money in the world.
