Was This Poll by
21st Century Faxes Rigged?

Today I received a poll fax commissioned by 21st Century Faxes out of NYC. I receive these from time to time and I vote routinely on issues that I believe are important to society at large.

Recently I've seen a number of poll faxes come through that were crafted such that the recipient could hardly vote any way but the way the writers/originators of the poll wanted them to: ANTI - 2nd AMENDMENT.

Take for example the one I received today.
In this poll fax it says, and I quote:

1 Million Mothers
4,000 Dead Children or
The 2nd Amendment

It further states:

Do you value your right to carry a gun more
than the lives of these 4,000 children?

The question asked was: SHOULD GUN LAW BE SERIOUSLY TIGHTENED?

Are these the only two choices we have: dead children vs. 2nd Amendment? I ask you, how misleading can one be? If you vote NO, then you don't care about these 4,000 children; and if you vote YES, then you're UNAMERICAN!! Take your pick--I chose NO.

Does that mean I'm not concerned about these 4,000 children who allegedly die each year because of gun fire? No, not at all; but do you know the criteria used to derive this 4,000 figure? This figure includes anyone through the age of young adulthood, as well as every gang member in every major city who may happen to have died from gun fire.

Not only that, but according to a recent report issued by the Department of Justice (Children as Victims, John J. Wilson, acting administrator, May 2000), the number of children that were murdered using every means available numbered 2,900 in 1997. Of this number, 56% were killed with a firearm, or 1,624--which is hardly the 4,000 per year that gun opponents claim. So, was this poll rigged? Personally, it is my belief that it was. How could it be anything else but rigged, as it seeks a particular vote to the question stated.

The stark truth is, many more children would die in this country if we did not have an effective 2nd Amendment. As proof I submit the situation that took place in Rwanda back in 1994. How many children do you think died there, as well as other countries, where citizens do not have the right to own, possess, or carry a firearm of any kind?

Am I suggesting that our only two choices are 2nd Amendment vs. more gun control? I think that, considering the all out effort that this administration has taken to institute gun registration, I think that these are our only two choices at present. I can assure you, it is the intent of this administration and other globalists to fully eliminate the 2nd Amendment, whether you think so or not.

In closing, the next time you hear about an anti-gun poll, I would like you to consider this commentary. Remember, there are very effective ways to mislead folks into answering one question while they are actually asking another. I can almost tell you what the result of this poll will be... more gun control. How can it be anything else the way it's been worded?
