It's irrelevant what public opinion says about Al Gore; I feel he must continue his fight until he has exhausted all of his options. This is because if the ballots had been properly counted in Florida, Gore would be president-elect today. Furthermore, what is the rush to install George W. Bush, who is clearly unfit and whose presidency would make the United States the laughingstock of the world? |
| If you hadn't noticed, the author of this piece has made wide sweeping statements for which there is little basis in truth or law. There were quite a few such letters in this particular issue of the USA Today (Dec. 2000, 1-3) and none of them indicated that the writer(s) had any common sense about themselves. |
| There must be law and order in society and the actions suggested by the individual who wrote this letter, as well as their fearless, socialistic leader, Al Gore, would do nothing more than further disassemble American society. But then again, it is this author's belief that it is the intention of Al Gore's team to delay Floridians' votes just long enough that the state won't be able to send electors come time for the electoral vote. |

| In regards to the USA Today OpEd piece above, I can emphatically tell you that one of the ploys used by every political organization is to saturate newspaper editorial columns with letters--like the one up top. I cannot be certain if this is the case here, but it is very possible that the individual who wrote this piece, or others like it, work for Al Gore in one capacity or another. If that is not bad enough, many of these same individuals will, themselves, send out various letters to numerous publications using an assortment of aliases. No, this author does not do that for I believe in honesty, sincerity, and fair play. I ask you, is there no honor, even among thieves? |
| I am disapointed in those in Florida who have allowed themselves to be used by the Gore group. There is no doubt in this author's mind that the Gore plan now playing itself out is to invalidate the voice of all Florida voters. They will do that by delaying just long enough so their electoral votes cannot be included when everyone elses' Electoral representatives go to Washington. |
