Please Prevent U.S.
Involvement In Kosovo

Dear Honorable Senator/Congressman;

Please consider any options available to Congress that might effectively prevent the deployment of U.S. troops in Kosovo. Kosovo is a sovereign nation and the military activity now going on there, as sad as it may be, is an internal matter--a civil war that ought to be determined by those who live there, not "the international community." Congress has debated this issue and I would hope that you, as an Ohio Representative, will stand firm for the sovereign right of Kosovo to self determination.

Instead of sending our troops into harms way in a war that is not our own, I would consider supporting the civilian population by providing weapons and military advisors, as we have done for decades in the past. But, to attack a sovereign nation is an act of war and not in line with our own ideals and history.

I hope you will consider options open to Congress and will prevent this from becoming another Bosnia where our troops remain in a foreign land on an indefinite basis.

Best Regards,

Allan B. Colombo
