"For I do nothing but go about persuading you all, old and young alike, not to take thought for your persons and your properties, but first and chiefly to care about the greatest improvement of the soul. I tell you that virtue is not given by money, but that from virtue come money and every other good of man, public as well as private."

Since the September 11th, 2001 World Trade Center (WTC) and Pentagon tragedy, it has become painfully obvious that something is wrong in the world. A nation must maintain some degree of control over the goings on within its own borders. That something must include policies and practices used in part by Uncle in the commission of foreign policy. Unfortunately, the monkey is out of the bag and Uncle is not entirely willing to do whatever is necessary to stop the problem at the borders of this country. If Uncle was to do so, this would mean negating the global agenda that is afoot, for in order to have a truly globalized society, there can not be countrylines (borders). It is as simple as that.

God Bless the USA!

The U.S. Constitution doesn't guarantee happiness, only the pursuit of it. You have to catch up with it yourself.
Benjamin Franklin

Al:

How appropriate for the 4th of July. We went to Church this morning and as I sat staring at George Washington's pew, I could almost see him sitting there and wondered what he would be thinking about how our elected officials and the Supreme Court have betrayed him and our other forefathers who sacrificed so much to create this wonderful country. God Bless the USA!

Both Parties Look & Act The Same!

I enjoyed your article immensely and must say you are "right on" with your observations. I must say that I have a few other issues that both parties are in total concert with:
  1. Both parties support the United Nations, although President Bush has confronted, pushed and received the ire of this impotent organization.
  2. Both parties support the broken, unfair, unwieldy and expensive current tax system and totally ignore the only fair tax system...a straight flat tax with everyone paying the same percentage with no "write offs" and no exceptions.
  3. Both parties spend money like "drunken sailors" with no accountability and no real audits.
  4. Both parties ignore the porous border issue that allows millions of illegal aliens to cross into this country unabated. In fact, they give incentives to these illegals by offering amnesty, benefits, education, medical, etc.
  5. Both parties keep America dependent on foreign Middle Eastern oil. Every now and then they will mention alternative fuel sources but throw paltry sums of money at the problem. They know the Hydrogen Fuel Cell is one of the answers but are not willing to anger the big oil companies by giving Americans independence from OPEC.
  6. Both parties throw money at our broken education system knowing that money, by itself, is not the answer. The answers are simple, which discipline, testing, and academic subjects without the liberal slant. How about mathmatics, sciences, geography, history (not revisionist), english, composition, literature, reading, etc. Both parties cater to the NEA and sacrifice the children's future. Also, education is the key for those in the inner cities to have a future.
  7. Both parties are indebted to special interests...Republicans, big businesses and Democrats to minorities and lawyers. Of course, there are others.
  8. Both parties do not believe in term limits.
  9. Both parties believe in meddling in other countries' affairs.
  10. Both parties put their interests above the common good of the people who elect them.

A Broken Two-Party System

As I have followed the election dialogue taking place between Kerry and Bush, and as I observe the comments made by everyday people, I am amazed at how many of us have failed to grasp the truth behind what is now unfolding before us.

Frankly, there is very little difference between the two main parties. They may vary here and there, but when it comes to the top agenda that matters the most... they are both in full agreement. Kerry talks about lost jobs... Bush talked about lost jobs during his campaign speeches in 2000.

All the while during the 8 years that Clinton (the Democrats) was in office, government did more to run substantial jobs out of country than anyone before or since--certainly more than Bush has. And yet it is clear that Bush is an Internationalist, a Globalist himself. He comes from a long line of Globalists, and unless Globalism is checked, there will be no manufacturing plants on the North American Continent before it is over--mark my words.

Those of you who are old enough, allow me to ask you a question. What is the single agenda that has always continued on no matter which of the main two parties happen to be in the White House? How about "globalization?" How about "free trade?" How about "integration" and "harmonization" of laws on both sides of the pond?

How much of our protected rights (freedoms) and our jobs must we lose to globalization until we begin to see that no matter which party happens to hold the oval office, the same agenda continues to march forward. In fact, after Bush took control, I witnessed the Left and Right trade positions on issues related to the globalization agenda. In other words, it's more a dog and pony show than truth. The American public has such a short term memory--if any. Isn't it time for a change?

One of the things that this writer believes in is "team work" and "hard work." If our readers throughout these many years were to have known how many hours we have spent researching, creating graphics, and designing web pages, they would have been astounded. If I were to sit down and tell you the details about GKO, how it came to exist, and the story behind so many people who have risked much to make this site possible, you would be surprised.

As you can well imagine, my friends throughout these past 10 years have often thought that I'd gone off my rocker. On this web site we've discussed the loss of jobs to China, traitorous actions on the part of politicians, renegade presidents who care more about the global agenda than their own people, a New World Order in the making, and a world yet to come the likes which none of us have ever seen--these are just some of the things that have probably given me more black eyes among my associates and friends than one can imagine.

Do I have any regrets? The answer is no. But, I am slightly dismayed by the lack of participation among our readership. Let us consider it in this manner. The thousands upon thousands of informative web pages contained in GKO took thousands upon thousands of hours to make possible. Perhaps it's asking a bit much, but many of the writers who risked family, friends, and jobs would have enjoyed more of a response. As I told one of my close associates, at least in the early years I received threats whereas now we rarely receive even that.

I've pondered the cause of this lost communication. I know people are reading GKO, as we see upwards to 2 million hits a month. Perhaps the cause of this silence has more to do with a false sense of security that Americans have acquired since President Bush stepped into the oval office than anything else. If you will recall, under the Clinton regime, the push was on for our guns, for more children to take ritalin, more pressure was exerted to comply with the Int'l community's will (whims), and more. But, may I submit that all of these things are still proceeding--perhaps at a slightly slower pace today, but proceeding they are--and under the dark of night. Wait and see....

Perhaps one of these days I will sit down and write a detailed account of how GKO came to exist, including the story behind some of the breaking stories that we were instrumental in bringing to public scrutiny (yes, there were a few firsts). In the mean time, if you have a comment, please be sure to send it along. You can reach us at gko@tpromo.com.

O Solitude!

O Solitude! if I must with thee dwell,
Let it not be among the jumbled heap
Of murky buildings; climb with me the steep,--
Nature’s observatory—whence the dell.
In flowery slopes, its river’s crystal swell,
May seem a span; let me thy vigils keep
‘Mongst boughs pavilioned, where the deer’s swift leap
Startles the wild bee from the foxglove bell.
But though I’ll gladly trace these scenes with thee,
Yet the sweet converse of an innocent mind,
Whose words are images of thoughts refined,
Is my soul’s pleasure; and it sure must be
Almost the highest bliss of human-kind,
When to thy haunts two kindred spirits flee.
