Vincent Allan's Story

Vincent Allan at approximately 3 years Vincent was 3 years old when his preschool suggested that he be placed on Ritalin. His pediatrician (now retired) promptly informed all concerned that he had no intention of doing so. According to his mother, Susan Gauze, Canton, Ohio, the doctor told the preschool that if they persisted, he would take legal action against them for practicing medicine without a license.

The issue of Ritalin in young Vincent's life again popped up when he entered kindergarten. During a parent-teacher meeting, his teacher made the suggestion that he be placed on Ritalin. By now, Susan was more learned on the subject and promptly informed the teacher that Ritalin was out of the question, but the teacher would not take "no" for an answer. It resulted in the school principal intervening. Luckily, the school district has a policy that prevents teachers from forcing parents to use Ritalin on their children if they do not choose to.

Vincent at about the age of 6The following year, Vincent was placed in a scaled-down, first-grade class where he could receive more attention. Before the new year began, however, Mrs. Gauze sought to provide a more natural means whereby Vincent could find relief from his inability to sit still and focus. This relief came by way of Juice Plus Gummies and Pycnogenol.

Surprisingly, within a few days a noticeable change took place in Vincent. He was not nearly as hyper as he normally was and he could sit still and carry on a calm conversation. This was something that he traditionally had trouble doing. In addition, his ability to focus was noticeably greater and he could do so for much longer periods.

"I take three [Juice Plus] gummies and a little pill (T.P.T. Pycnogenol) every morning when I get up and when I come home from school," says Vincent, now 7 years old. "They make me do better at school."

According to his mother, she could tell a difference in him by the second day.

"Vincent was not nearly as jumpy. He seemed more relaxed and less aggressive than he normally was in certain situations. He still has some trouble focusing but not as much as he use to. The Gummies and Pycnogenol have helped me to communicate better with him because he's more able to listen to what I'm telling him. Because he's more mellow he's also better able to express himself."

School faculty noticed a difference almost immediately.

"This product has really helped us at home and the principle and counselor have expressed their amazement concerning how different he is this year compared to last. The guidance councelor is really impressed because he hasn't been in nearly as much trouble this year as last--at least yet. The principle said that he seems more grown up, more relaxed compared to last year when he was getting into trouble all the time," said Susan Gauze.
