Ernie Schott Owner of Taggarts in Canton Home of The Bittner | CANTON SOUTH, Ohio; July 24, 2008 -- Canton South Rotary was honored to have Ernie Schott of the Canton Rotary Club present interesting tidbits of information about Taggarts, the home of the world-famous Bittner. Ernie, owner and proprietor of Taggarts, told Canton South Rotarians how Taggarts started in the 1800s and how he acquired this well-known establishment.
Ernie shared with the club how The Bittner became world famous by shipping them across the United States to well known sports figures and businesses. Best of all, Ernie became a huge hit with everyone who attended when he handed out $5 certificates.
Taggarts continues to receive top reviews from those who visit the establishment, especially sports fans who come to the Canton area to visit the Football Hall of Fame, including those who come to be enshrined. Recently Taggarts opened a new establishment in Magnolia, Ohio, which has become just as popular as the Canton facility.
