Let us hold on firmly to the hope we profess, because we can trust God to keep his promise. -- Hebrews 10:23 (Good News For Modern Man [GN])
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward.... -- 2 Peter 3:9 (King James [KJ]) He that remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. -- Psalm 105:8 (KJ) For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations.... -- Psalm 119:89,90 (KJ) My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. -- Psalm 89:34 (KJ) Every Christian has felt at some point during his or her walk with the Lord the loneliness that comes from our own lack of faithfullness to God and His Most High Son. No matter what we choose to do, our faith and our love will never equal that of the Lord who promised us salvation if we but believe in Jesus and but confess our sins to become renewed--reborn as a new person. Let us rejoice in God's promises and do our best to be faithful to Him and His most precious Son, Jesus, our Lord, who died on the cross for us because of our inescapable sins. --ABC |
