Be Sure to Catch the Flight When it Arrives 15 June 2008, Sunday One of my concerns in life is the possibility that many of us will read the words of apostles and our Lord then completely miss the flight out of here simply because we listened to our pastors more. The fact is, there will be only one airlift out of here that will be afforded those who believe in Jesus Christ and if you're not ready, you'll miss it when it comes. First, it is my humble opinion that many of our pastors are wrong when it comes to tribulation and the point of Christ's return. I addressed this concern in our End Times section in my paper entitled Get Ready for the Second Coming. Second, my greatest fear is that Christians will miss the flight simply because they end up taking the Mark of the Beast without ever suspecting what it really is. Many years ago while talking with a young Jehovah's Witness, we touched on the issue of the Mark of the Beast. He told me that his church teaches that this is a spiritual mark, much like many of the marks spoken of in other parts of the Bible. "Okay," I started, "but isn't it true that the only people who could see those other marks were angelic creatures?" "Yes, of course," he replied. "If these marks are invisible to humans, than how do humans use them to determine who can 'buy' and 'sell', as mentioned in the Book of Revelation?" I asked. "I don't know," he said. In our End Times section I go into what I believe the "Mark of the Beast" is. Let me tell you what brought me to the conclusion that it's technology oriented. First of all, let me say that NO ONE ELSE presented this idea to me before I knew what it will be. No one told me, no one said it around me, and I did not get it out of a book, off the Internet, or anywhere else in print. My belief in what this mark is came to me through meditation, prayer, and a growing knowledge of the technology due to my vocation as a trade writer. Okay, here's what brought me to this realization: We are a high-tech leaning society. We're not ever going to go backwards, using older forms of marking our assets, people, and other objects. As technology marches forward, we're going to integrate a number of technologies in order to bring this about. I knew the reasons for doing so would be harmless sounding enough, but nonetheless, the outcome would entrap society in ways that most of us cannot visualize, but I did. There were others in society already on the right track on this issue, and eventually I began to hear their thoughts on the issue of the Mark of the Beast, and theirs were identical to mine. In due time, the "powers that be" will somehow bring about a situation that will foster a one-world, global financial system. This is one of the prerequisites that must occur before a Mark of the Beast that can prevent the buying and selling of goods can come about. This global financial system will be cashless, based on high-technology and the banking system we have now, or one nearly like it-and of course the Federal Reserve Corporation, or the central bank, will be an integral part of it, along with the central banking institutions of every nation on Earth. The bottom line will be this: there will be no choice in whether you become part of the cashless society that will emerge or a hard currency like you now enjoy. The only choice you will have is to either take the mark or not take it. To not take this mark will mean that you cannot buy or sell-purely because there will be no hard currency. If you do not take this mark, you will not be able to buy groceries to eat, you will not be able to pay your rent (only a relative few will actually own any property), and if you do not take this mark you cannot be paid for any work that you do. In a word, you and your family will be stranded between life and death. Only through the good will of those who mistakenly bought into this new financial system that you and your family will be fed. At first the national government, which will by then only be an extension of the global government, will allow you to make up your own mind, but in due time it will become mandatory to take this mark, or you will not be allowed to remain in society. What they will do with Christians and others who say no is remove them from amongst the population. For one thing, they will be an ever present reminder to those who mistakenly took the mark as to what the past was like. Freedom hinges on choice, and without choice you have no freedom. Their ever presence in society will eventually cause dissent amongst those who took the mark. So what will they do with us? They will remove us from society by placing us under the care of each nation state under the United Nations. This care will probably consist of government sponsored compounds where families will at first live and work, but Lord knows what they will eventually do to us. Make no mistake about it, you will not be allowed to live in your home or go to work. You will be stuck without a way out. But if you take this mark, you are showing your alliance with the devil. This "mark" marks you as his, not the Lord's. When the big ship comes back with Christ to redeem His chosen people, when His angels detect that mark, they will pass you by.
